What can I say I am only just recovering! And what a great day to be had by one and all, glad the rain kept away until the very end, for once the weather forecast got it right. Never seen so many people in one place enjoying the Marple Bridge “Winter Wonderland” fair,We didn't have a huge stall but as you can see, we did what we could not to disappoint & crammed it full of lovely things for you to buy. We hope you all enjoyed the Fair and managed to push your way through the crowds to see our stall. It was the first year we have exhibited at Marple Bridge ‘Winter Wonderland’ Fair “Don’t think it will be our last” and we really enjoyed meeting new customers. Glad That Ian, Sandra were on hand to help out don’t think I would of managed it all on the the day so a big thank you to you both! Artificial flowers have a history dating back to ancient China. In the 18th century, they became popular in France, where they were presented with elegant chocolate desserts. The winner of our Prize draw is Susanne Birchall From Warrington Thank you who entered the Prize Draw Ashton Town Hall Wedding Fayre Leaving just after 9.30am,on Sunday it was straight to Ashton town Hall to attend our 2nd wedding fair in Ashton Town Hall this year the air was full with excitement that the nice weather would being out the brides-to-be or would the credit crunch have its say in it!! Got to Ashton in time shock horror the wedding fairs on the same day as the Ashton Famers and Producers Market, what going to lay a head still I was not here for the Market, if the brides-to- be know there’s a wedding fair on they will come hopefully. So here I was trying to prepare the best I could for the unknown! – wasn’t expecting that…but it kind of reminded me of my mission –to draw in those brides to my table of stylish artificial wedding flowers yes I did say artificial wedding flowers! Table all set up with just an hour to spare before the doors opened to the public. So off we went out side into the Famers market, got hold of a nice cup off coffee lovely maybe the only time I will have to day. Than at 12pm the doors opened and on the top of the town hall stairs the piper started to dawn in the exited brides-to-be it didn’t seemed to long as the fair started, the event was packed with excited brides-to-be, mums, husbands-to-be, bridesmaids, eagerly sourcing the wedding fair garbing bits and pieces from start to finish. Located on the ground floor near the main door we found ourselves in a prime spot and, although a little deafened at first with the piper the Flowers for Special Days Weddings stand was kept populated by interested parties and potential clients throughout the day. The event seemed to go quickly and I was particularly pleased with the interest our wedding flowers arrangements generated, especially! With online enquiries already coming in off the back of our early wedding fair event, interestingly, there was one common question asked by visitors to the show: ‘Are they real flowers?’ and to answer the question, no – all our flowers are artificial (maybe some of our flowers look just too real!), as many people were surprise to hear that.
